hey Michel- Sounds like you're more endomorphic. The biggest factor for you is going to be getting lean and that means focusing on solid nutrition. See my post on the caveman diet and follow it to the letter until you get between 10-15%. You might also try skipping breakfast which will prolong your overnight fasting during sleep. Go for a half hour power walk instead of breakfast. If you have a juicer make some veggie juice and drink that for breakfast. Eat a medium lunch and then eat a huge dinner (not too huge though.) I would suggest to do about 3 days of strength training focusing on getting stronger in the compound lifts. Then do 2-3 days of conditioning like jump rope, hill sprints, trail runs, sled pulls, martial arts training. Hope that gives you some ideas of how the training might differ.

A hardgainer is a skinny, thin, weak dude like a marathon runner right?

What about me? How should I train? I am the opposite. I am quite strong but also a bit fat, like 20% or so I think.

Seeing the picture makes me smile. and truly as human if we doesn't take good care of our body being a pig wouldn't be possible.

Be physically fit and so you well not look like a lousy dirty little pig.

I just learned that being a hardgainer is really a choice. It is not in their genes or family tree. You have to make your own choice.

Thanks BOE! Appreciate that, but be careful about that "hardgainer" term. I think being a hardgainer is a choice! Being an ectomorph may be a scientific reality, but labeling yourself a hardgainer is a matter of perspective. It's okay to use the term, but just be careful how strongly you identify with it. Personally, I like to think of myself as an X-Hardgainer... I choose to be an Easygainer now! Take care brother

This post is really amazing and the flow of writing is very catchy, keeps you hooked in reading. Every hardgainer should read this and I am sure those who may think that exercise is not for them will think otherwise after reading this. Being a hardgainer is not a choice but a scientific reality that most suffer from. Free yourselves from this slavery and start growing some muscles!
