Great read, staying in shape and having a great body can certainly make a person confidence jump higher and that is what every guy needs.

Haha... good point Nick! You can go from a dud to a stud really quick in the eyes of women if you pack on some muscle. I like how the "flaws" were reframed!

The most interesting thing about building muscles is how it turns your flaws into virtues. e.g. If you like reading books and listening to classical music, but don't have muscles, then you're a geek. But if you do have muscles, you suddenly become "sensitive" and "cultured."

Amazing!

Good point BOE! The key point in transforming your physique is because this is something that you want to do for yourself. However, before you can transform you must be willing to love and accept yourself exactly as you are right here and now. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter whether you're big, skinny, fat, or anything in between. If you want to have a muscular physique there are many benefits to doing so... have the right reasons and most importantly accept and love yourself as you are.... but then get in the gym/kitchen and do what needs to be done if you dream of having a ripped, muscular and healthy body.

There is clearly a lot of reasons why people would want a muscular body and in this article some have been enumerated already. Whatever your rationale is for gaining mass, make sure that it is for yourself, and that it is with the best intentions. Don't do it because everybody else is doing it and because you want someone to accept you. Learn to accept yourself as well and everything else will follow. Exercise and shape-up because you want this to better yourself.
