What’s up BIG guy? Hope you’re doing great and enjoying life! ;)

If you’re new here, I’d like to personally welcome you! This blog is a journey into transformation, evolution and personal growth… mine, my brothers and more importantly YOURS!  Not just on a physical front, mind you, but also mentally, spiritually and beyond.

Our ultimate goal for this blog is to create a tribe of Awakened Warriors that are following this enlightened path to health, fitness and personal development.

At the end of the day, we want you to achieve your highest potential in life and enjoy the process of pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone.

If you’re not growing, you’re dying and so we have to force ourselves to keep striving for excellence. We have to get comfortable, being uncomfortable and that means challenging ourselves in new ways and experiencing life to the fullest.

If you’re a long time reader of this site, then let me stop right now and say THANK YOU for returning to this site and blog and checking out the information and insights we’ve been sharing. I really hope this website has added some value to your life because that’s our ultimate purpose here. (more…)

Part 2: Twenty Ways to Become a Contrarian Bodybuilder

All fixed, set patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns.”– Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee In Part 1, we learned that a “contrarian” is a person with a preference for taking a position in opposition to the majority. We also discussed why this may be an intelligent thing to do, despite the fact you may be considered a freak, a lunatic and/or put on house arrest for the remainder of your life.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about… you probably didn’t read Part 1 and should go do so immediately! Part 2 will still be here when you finish. lol

In this post we are going to cover the first Ten Ways You Can Become a Contrarian Bodybuilder. I’ll start off each point with what the majority of the people do when they first begin training and then explain how you should approach your training from the Contrarian perspective. Capiche’?!?!

Let’s do this!  8) (more…)

Part 1: It’s Time to Become a Contrarian Bodybuilder

Monday, September 19th, 2011

By Brandon Cook

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”  –George Bernard Shaw

Guy on the Rings

A contrarian, according to Wikipedia, is a person with a preference for taking a position opposed to that of the majority.

In simple terms, they do the opposite of what everybody else is doing.

Most commonly, the label is used in the investing world. You have, more likely than not, heard of a ‘contrarian investor.’

Warren Buffet said, “What the wise man does at the beginning, the fool does in the end.”

The best time to buy stocks is when the market has crashed, the price is low and the stock is undervalued. The best time to sell is when the stock price is at its highest peak, everything is going great and the stock is becoming overvalued.

This is a common contrarian investing strategy, yet why is it that the majority of investors buy in and jump on the band wagon when everybody else is buying the latest and the greatest, hopes are high and so is the rising price?

Then bad news hits and things begin to take a turn for the worse. The majority of investors ride the market down hoping that it will turn around. Surprise, it doesn’t… and then even more bad news hits. Everyone panics and suddenly decides to get out after the market has already tanked and now fear losing it all.

Read the quote by Warren Buffet again for the answer! (more…)

The Awakened Warrior Unleashed…

By Brandon Cook

When life is victorious, there is birth; when it is thwarted, there is death. A warrior is always engaged in a life-and-death struggle for Peace.” - Morihei Ueshiba

A Warrior

“Everyone has a spirit that can be refined, a body that can be trained in some manner, a suitable path to follow. You are here to realize your inner divinity and manifest your innate enlightenment.”

- Morihei Ueshiba

Every man must balance the paradox that is the mystery of life and death. One must choose his own purpose in life and train to refine the body and the mind. He must train, so that one day, he may achieve his full potential. Each of us must follow his own path…and so… I continue mine.

Here’s the program and the path that I’ve been following:

=====>>> The Path of the Awakened Warrior <<<======

This is the program I’ve been using since January and have been getting great results. So, naturally, I’d like to share it with you in hopes that you can make the same or better progress. (more…)

How to Adapt Hybrid Training for Ectomorphs Struggling to Build Muscle

Monday, February 28th, 2011

By Brandon Cook

“The survival of the fittest is the ageless law of nature, but the fittest are rarely the strongest. The fittest are those endowed with the qualifications for adaptation, the ability to accept the inevitable and conform to the unavoidable, to harmonize with existing or changing conditions.” – Unknown

Push-Ups

While we know Hybrid Muscle Training is Awwwesome for athletes and martial artists OR even your average weekend warrior (who wants to be as strong as he looks)… YOU might be wondering if this type of training is appropriate for the ectomorph, whose main purpose is to put some meat on his bones!

I mean, after all is said and done…. Elliott Hulse and Mike Westerdal (the creators of Lean Hybrid Muscle Program) are NOT ectomorphs. In fact, they are on the opposite end of the spectrum. They are endomorphs and basically have the opposite problem of your average hardgainer. Meaning… instead of finding it difficult to build muscle, these guys find it easy to gain weight… muscle and fat. The difficulty for the endomorph is staying lean as they can gain fat just by looking at a donut! ;) (more…)
